The HGP uses a 15-bit high precision non-contact angle sensor. That means the shifter can detect position accurately without relying on a contact point that wears the same way a simple mechanical switch can. MOZA also notes a dedicated desk clamp option for desk users, sold separately, but the strongest experience comes from mounting it to a rigid cockpit or accessory plate where the mechanical shift force can be handled properly. PC or MOZA wheelbase connection USB direct to PC, or RJ11 to a compatible MOZA base. The HGP can connect directly to a PC with the included USB-B to USB-A cable, or to a compatible MOZA wheelbase using the included RJ11 cable. That keeps the shifter flexible for mixed-brand rigs as well as cleaner full-MOZA setups.
