The removable Attache Bar orients the carabiner to ensure the major axis is loaded when abseiling or belaying. As the Bar cannot be closed if the carabiner screw-gate gate is not fully locked, it helps limit the risk of user error. It also prevents the carabiner gate from working loose in use, as the screw-gate is unable to be unlocked while the Bar is installed in the closed position.
